about me

I am creative, ambitious, a team player who is keen to learn and develop new skills. I can work on my own and as part of a team, and have held positions of leadership both throughout my academic life and in my role as Team Coach at Next.  I am naturally inquisitive and take great pride in producing high-quality work.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Next Limited  (July 2015 – Present)

Milton Keynes store - promoted after 6 months to role of Team Coach.  In addition to the full range of sales floor duties, I have also worked in the stockroom, trained new sales colleagues, been in charge of new season merchandising on the shop floor and been accountable for the running of the sales floor in the absence of my Department Manager

HR Department, Home Retail Group (Argos /Homebase) - (1st- 5thDecember 2013)

My work experience involved working in all areas of HR e.g. Recruitment, Benefits, HR Admin, Payroll, HR Query Line,

The Grove Independent School (May- July 2014)

As part of my D of E bronze award, I completed 3 months voluntary work experience at my junior school. 

Bradwell Media, Bradwell Abbey (Sainsburys and Argos) – (21stMay – 1stJune)

My work experience at Bradwell Media involved working in many areas of a photography and videography studio e.g. Photographing products for the Argos website, Shadowing videographers, acting as a runner finding products and props needed for shoots, helping with admin recording photographers work for the day, shadowing editors, being a stylist on video sets and organizing the stylists wardrobe room and props cupboards

Marketing Department, Home Retail Group (Argos/Sainsbury’s) – 13th– 31stMay 2020

A 3-week placement in the marketing team at Argos and Sainsbury's head office creating a back to school marketing campaign aimed at university students, and shadowing all the different departments that make up the marketing team.

POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Hazeley School

  • In my final year at school, I was the student leader of the ‘wellbeing team’ tasked with delivering school assemblies during the anti-bullying week and promoting mental health.

  • Since 2012, as part of my catering course, I regularly helped out at the school’s ‘business breakfast’ events.  This included making and serving breakfast to representatives from local businesses, governors and other partnership organisations.

  • I regularly helped out at school open days giving tours to prospective new students /parents

  • Since joining the school in 2010, I was voted in each year to the student council.  This involved representing my form to the senor school leadership team at regular forums where we discuss and agree on improvements to school life.

  • Between 2010 and 2012, I was a library assistant which meant that I spent my lunchtime once a week helping out in the library.

This included representing my school house in a number of meetings, selecting teams and helping to organise sports matches/events, coaching more junior members and captaining the team in home and away matches
